Introduction

If you are new to using computers, or for any reason are not confident in creating your own advertisement, then this tutorial has been designed to take you step-by-step through the process.

Registration

Using the ‘Spanish Sales Direct’ website is simple, but first you must ‘register’ yourself so that we can create space on the website for you.

There are TWO ways to do this;

You can either click on ‘register’, located in the purple bar near the top of any of our pages.


Or you can click the ‘Publish your advert now’ button which can be found at the bottom of numerous pages of the website.

Either of the above options will take you to this ‘Owner’s Registration’ page, where you must fill in all of the boxes with your details.

• For added security your ‘password’ is shown in asterisks (*) and must be re-typed in the second box to eliminate typing errors.
• You should enter an ‘Email address’ that you want buyers questions to be directed to.
• The ‘verification code’ is a security measure that must be typed in to ensure that you are human and not a malicious computer program.
• Once the form is completed click ‘Submit’ – Congratulations, you have registered successfully!

Owner’s Section

You can now ‘Log In' using the Username and Password that you chose when registering.

Once your details are entered, click ‘Sign In’.

That is it . You are now in the ‘Owners Section'. Click the ‘Add New' button in the 'action' column to begin your listing.

Once you have completed the above form with your property details, click ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom of the form.

You may now transfer photographs from your PC to your ad, using the centre ‘Upload Images' tab as shown above.

• Simply click a ‘Browse' button
• Select the file on your PC where your chosen photograph is located
• Double click your chosen photo and you will see its file location has gone into the numbered box.
• Do this for up to 10 photographs and click ‘Upload Now' and wait until your images are delivered to us - this may take a little while.
• You can repeat this process to easily change or update your photographs. e.g.) to change photo No.4 click the No.4 ‘Browse' button and upload a new image, the old image will automatically be overwritten & replaced.

N.B. Photograph No.1 will automatically be shown as the thumbnail (small image) of your property on our listings pages.

Once your images have been uploaded you will see this message. Click ‘OK’.

Warning: Photographs of high quality and/or large dimensions will have a large ‘file’ size. If you compress the file size of your photographs on your PC you will significantly reduce both the time it takes to upload them, and the time it takes for them to appear onto a users screen.
(~The subject of file compression is beyond the scope of this tutorial~)

Now click the third tab (this used to be 'Settings & Configuration' but is now more clearly labelled ‘Photograph Descriptions’) where you can add an explanatory comment to each of your images. Once again when you have done this click ‘Save Changes’ again to proceed.

To return to the ‘Owner’s Section’ click ‘Home’ (top left of the section). You will notice that your listing is now visible here (our example is TEST PROPERTY). And that there is now an ‘update’ icon (pen & papers) in the ‘Action’ column which when clicked will return you to the ‘tabbed’ form, so that you can edit any part of your listing.

Payment and Logout

All there is left for you to do in the ‘Owner’s Section’ now is to click the big yellow ‘Pay Now’ button, which is located on the right had side and follow the on-screen instructions.

This will 'Activate' your listing, putting it onto the front page of the website as one of the 'Latest Properties' making it instantly visible to millions of internet users.

N.B. Until your advertisement is paid for it will remain 'inactive' and therefore invisible to visitors to the website.

Finally you can now click ‘Logout’ which is located at the top right corner of the section.

That is all there is to it….!
You have successfully managed to;

• Register onto the website
• Sign in as a property owner
• Create a description of your property
• Upload photographs onto your listing
• Give those photos some commentary
• Make your payment
• Log out
